While you’re reading this blog post, I’m nearing the end of the Mount Hermon Writer’s Conference in the beautiful Santa Cruz mountains. This conference is just one of the many things happening in my little world this month. It’s an exciting time for me, and to be completely truthful, a little scary, too. But those of you who have been on this writing journey with me know what a blessing it is to have my first novel being released on April 30th.
If you prefer the ebook version, Surrendered is available for preorder on Amazon at an introductory price. That price will go up after the 30th, so you might want to get it now. Another benefit for preordering is that you will also receive a gift—the novella, Julia, which is a prequel to Surrendered. Just be sure to fill out this form after purchasing, and the download will be emailed to you after the release date.
However, if you’d like an autographed copy, there are a couple ways you can get one. I will be announcing a ten-day Scavenger Hunt Contest on my Facebook Author page to begin on April 20th. Each day, a video will be posted letting you know which clue you’re looking for in my Facebook Author Page photos. You merely have to check out the photos to find the answer and then private message it to me—do not post the answer for everyone to see, otherwise it’s no longer a contest! The first five people who do this for all ten days will receive a complimentary, signed copy of the book.
Not a contest-playing kind of person? If you live in Northern California, you might want to attend my book signing on June 1st from 1-4 at Hein & Company Bookstore, 204 Main Street, Jackson, California. I will have copies of Surrendered there for purchase and I’ll sign every copy. I’ll even throw in a specialty bookmark!
And last, but not least, Surrendered will be on a blog tour with Celebrate Lit from May 6-16th. I hope you will follow the tour and be part of the journey. I will be sure to have the link available on my Facebook Author page and website before it begins.
Now, for other news!
If you’re a dog lover, you might want to pick up a copy of Chicken Soup for the Soul: Life Lessons from the Dog. It was released on April 9th and my story, Soul Sniffer, is just one of the 101 sweet stories in this compilation. I found out in talking to the editor of my local paper—The Marshall County Tribune—that one of the other contributor’s also lives here in Lewisburg, Tennessee. Pretty amazing. And just so you know, all the royalties for this book go to the Animal Humane Society.
Blessings!
