Yes, I announced Free Books! Please scroll to the end of this post to get your free Celebrate Lit Books. One of them is my Christmas Novella from last year (All That Glitters). One book a day through November 27th.
Release week for Wish Upon a Star snuck up on me like a kid intent on mayhem. Did I know it was coming? Absolutely. Was I prepared? Not so much. I could trot out all the excuses, but it was a clear failure on my part to multi-task. We had company for ten days, which was such a blessing, but somewhere between cleaning house, cooking meals, and playing tour guide, my work fell through the cracks. It took an email from my publisher the day after the release of Wish Upon a Star asking where my release posts were that woke me from my haze—and put me in near panic.
That said, I started posts two days late, and although I cringe when I think about it, most readers out there won’t know the difference. It certainly didn’t stop them from entering for the five giveaways I offered. I want to thank everyone who read the posts and entered for a chance to win a prize. I also want to thank my publisher, Sandra Barela for graciously including some of her own family traditions and not taking me to task for my blunder. It was a treat for me to read about all that she and her family do to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior.
If y’all read this post, I’d love it if you could share some of your own traditions in the comments below. And to you and yours, a very Happy Thanksgiving. I truly hope you are blessed with abundant joy, great connections, and cherished memories to pass down to your children and grandchildren.

congratulations to the winners. happy reading.
Our family tradition is simple. we get together as family. every family brings something for dinner or dessert. its buffet style. we eat and enjoy each others company. after we eat, the women will separate the food so each family can take home some of everything. then the men will clean and put away the dishes. afterwards we all play Uno, Colored Dominoes. by this time it is getting late and we all head to our homes thankful for family and love.

That sounds like a wonderful tradition! Kudos to the men for stepping in and doing the dishes. I love it when the entire family takes part in the work. Blessings to you and yours!
Jennifer, I would like to again, thank you for my free book “All That Glitters”! I can’t wait to read it! I’m having a lot of company, too, all of my 3 precious girls, 3 sons-in-love, and 4 of my 6 grand loves will be here this week and some of them will be here 10 days. Plus, I’m behind on my ARC’s, which makes me so anxious. Trying not to be, though. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, and all of your readers.
