Welcome to Day 5 All That Glitters Cookie Party! This is our last day and our last introduction. You’ve met Julia, Max, Marty, and Tess.
Jake Holland, Tess’s husband, may be the last to be introduced, but he certainly isn’t unimportant. He was the hero to Tess’s heroine in Surrendered, Book 1 in the Apple Hill Series. He took a lot from both Tess and her younger sister, Katie, but he kept his cool. Mostly. He even performed emergency surgery on the floor of Bella Cucina’s kitchen.
Jake is always the voice of reason—confident, intelligent, and willing to take a chance. Because of his training as an E.R. doc, nothing rattles him. Except responsibility for a newborn! He doesn’t mind double duty and likes his cookie to do the same. For that reason, his favorite is the Classic Peanut Butter Blossom—a cookie and candy all in one tidy package.
Like Christmas ornaments, good-looking men are all glitter and no substance. Right?
Julia Metcalf tries to be content with her life in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, despite secretly yearning for more.
