Here is me being totally transparent—the other night I woke at three in the morning realizing I still had to schedule this blog post. I wracked my tired brain trying to remember who the author was I interviewed for March other than Sara Beth Williams. Had I forgotten to post the March 7th podcast? Was I completely losing my memory (and mind)?
I got up the next morning and rushed to my office to check my calendar. How could I have forgotten the charming and pixyish Doralyn Moore? The only excuse I have is this month has absolutely flown by, and I’ve been working like crazy to unpack from our recent move. If anyone else out there has occasional brain fades, I’d love to hear a word of encouragement from you. It can’t just be me.
It really was a pleasure to chat with Doralyn and Sara Beth this past month. One of the things I like best about this podcast is getting to meet a diverse group of authors—all talented, all Jesus-loving, and all working for the glory of God.
Doralyn Moore has a Master of Education degree from the University of Toronto and over thirty-years’ experience in social services, working with diverse populations. This has informed much of the storyline of Seventy Times Seven. She has also been involved for many years in Christian ministry, both as a home group leader and as a lay pastor.
Doralyn hopes the journey of the characters in her books will encourage readers to consider seriously the life-changing news of salvation through Jesus Christ and to trust in the goodness and faithfulness of God. Her tagline is Writing That Makes a Difference. She lives with her husband in a small community east of Toronto, Canada. Their two boys are married, and they have five beautiful grandchildren.
Doralyn has three novels: Seventy Times Seven (released March 2021), Hope Doesn’t Disappoint (released April 2022), and Abundance of Grace (released June 2023). Her fourth novel, Cause to Triumph, is set to release this fall. It is book three of The Victory Series.
You can connect with Doralyn on her website, subscribe to her newsletter, and keep up to date on her writing projects.
Back Cover Copy of Abundance of Grace:
When Cassie learns her daughter recently had an abortion while at university, old memories surface. At sixteen, she became pregnant and with a great amount of reluctance and soul searching, chose adoption for her baby. There is never a day when she doesn’t think about her daughter and wonder if she is happy and well.
Lise, the baby Cassie placed, was adopted by two loving parents. However, in spite of their love, she has feelings of abandonment and suffers from depression. Starting in her early teens, she turns to alcohol to cope with her negative feelings.
Although reluctant, Cassie senses an urging from her heavenly Father to search for her daughter. However, Lise does not want any contact with Cassie. But when she’s attacked and raped while drunk, things spin out of control and she calls her biological mother to help.
Through a long, slow process, they both come to know that for whatever bad choices they’ve made, God has provided an abundance of grace.

He ran away to escape his fear. She faces her fear every day.
After the death of his late wife, professor Dylan Mackay never thought he’d fall for another woman, until the stubborn and beautiful Jocelyn rescues him from the top of a ski slope—though he needed no such rescuing. The blissful whirlwind week spent together at Trinity Lakes Ski Resort is one of the happiest in recent memory.
After a messy breakup followed by her parents’ sudden divorce, local Trinity Lakes paramedic and nursing student Jocelyn Monroe had sworn off dating, until she is forced to rescue an injured Australian against his will while volunteering for the mountain ski patrol. Dylan is stubborn, handsome, intelligent, and honorable, with a swoony Aussie accent to boot and she finds herself falling head over heels before the week is out.
Once down the mountain, the spontaneity and carelessness of their rushed relationship comes full circle in devastating blows. Each one grapples with life-altering decisions that would result in moving out of Trinity Lakes—her a short distance away, him across the world. Neither one wants to leave the other, nor do they want to leave the charming town itself. Can they lean on God and trust that He will hold onto them no matter how far they go?
A second chance, opposites attract, small town Contemporary Christian romance.
Visit Trinity Lakes and meet the fun and quirky characters who value family, faith, and happy-ever-after.
