Tis the season! I figure the best time to remind my readers about the benefits of daily exercise is right before we start packing on the holiday pounds. Okay, that may be a little exaggerated. The average American only gains 1-2 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Year’s. Doesn’t sound like much, does it? However, it’s not all about the weight you might gain this year, but the accumulated weight stretched over the last several years. Add to that, unhealthy habits, and we become a ticking time bomb. It’s time to take action!
I wonder how many of you exercise on a regular basis—thirty minutes or more at least five times a week. From the stats I found, about 43% of Americans exercise “regularly.” Hmmm. That surprised me. The research is only as accurate as the individuals being tested. If you fall within the 57% of Americans who don’t take the time to exercise (or who were at least honest about it), the following video will give you something to think about. Not only does the good doctor (Michael Evans) have some wise information to impart, he does it in such an entertaining way. So, I encourage you to set aside the next ten minutes to be educated—it might just save your life!
