Old-Fashioned Christmas

I don’t know about you, but the older I get, the more bittersweet the holidays become. Maybe it’s because most of those who were such a part of my childhood are now gone. My grandparents, my mom and dad, and even my brother. The crazier this world becomes, the more I long for simpler times. Or maybe they weren’t simpler; I was just naive to everything outside of my own, little world. Christmas is always a time for reflection for me. No gift we could ever receive in this world can compare to our gift of salvation through the birth and death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I pray the hearts and eyes of those who don’t know Him will be opened this holiday season. What is your prayer this holiday season?
