We are halfway through Hope Week, and my prayer is that you have found some truth in this series to hold onto either in a video or blog post. Years ago, when I first delved into the Bible and read James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you face trials of many kinds, I couldn’t imagine ever reaching a point in my faith where this could be true. It’s not joy in the trial, but joy in knowing that God will use it somehow. …because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (1:3-4). That’s God’s upside-down kingdom, isn’t it?

Thank you for the memories of Mike. He was a wonderful brother. He was always caring of us. I remember the night that we were at your and Chris house sitting on the deck and Mike shared his trip to Thailand. It is a memory I hang onto. By the way your hair is great.
