Well, I survived my very first Blog Tour. In case you’re not familiar with what that is, think technological book tour. Instead of the author going from place to place to introduce his/her book, the book itself is sent to various reviewers for their honest review. The reviewer then posts it on their own blog, as well as on Amazon, Goodreads, etc. It’s stressful, to say the least.
So, every day when I logged onto the review (or two) for that day, I felt my chest tighten and my heart pound like a sledgehammer. Why? Because it was my “baby” on the line. My heart and soul put into months of hard work. My imagination (which I’ve confessed before may be lacking) blatantly laid out for anyone who had something to say about it. But this is part of the process, and reviewers do more to help a writer grow than would otherwise be available.
I have to thank all the reviewers who took the time to read Surrendered and then posted reviews. I know how long it takes to read a novel, and time is a precious commodity for most. I appreciate the many sweet reviews—all but two gave me a four or five rating.

So, there you go. As one of my heroes once said, “You can please all of the people some of the time and you can please some of the people all of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time.”
Thank you Abraham Lincoln for those very wise words.
