The Girl From Dalarna is based on the fascinating true story of Pilt Carin Ersdotter, a Swedish milkmaid from the 1800’s. If it seems unlikely, I assure you, I endeavored to deviate as little as possible from the original story. While I added some characterization, a trip to a royal Stockholm palace and changed her name, the bulk of the events that transpired truly occurred.
